Part 1: Setting Up the MicroREC App
This is the first step to unlocking the power of MicroREC Connect. This app is your mobile hub for capturing and managing your surgical media.
Step 1: Download the MicroREC App
Is completely free to download.
You can find it on the App Store for Apple devices or the Google Play Store for Android devices. Simply search for "MicroREC App" and tap "Download" or "Install."
Step 2: Create Your Account
Once the app is installed, open it.
You'll be prompted to create an account. You have a few easy options:
Sign up with Google: A single tap and you're in.
Sign up with Apple ID: Quick and secure.
Sign up with Email: Use your preferred email address and create a password you'll remember.
A quick tip: Choose the method you are most comfortable and familiar with. This will be your key to both the app and MicroREC Connect.
Step 3: Complete the Onboarding Process
After creating your account, you'll be guided through a short onboarding process.
We strongly recommend not skipping this. It will help you personalize the app to your specific needs and specialty, making your experience much smoother.
You will also be asked to accept our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your data and being transparent about how we use it.
Part 2: Accessing MicroREC Connect
Now that you have the app set up, let's get you connected to the cloud platform. MicroREC Connect is where you can access, manage, and share your content from any web browser.
Step 1: Go to the MicroREC Connect Website
Open the web browser on your computer (we recommend Google Chrome for the best experience).
Navigate to:
connect.customsurgical.co
Step 2: Log In to Your Account
You will see the login page.
Important: Use the exact same login method you chose when you created your account in the MicroREC app.
If you used Google, click "Sign in with Google."
If you used Apple, click "Sign in with Apple."
If you used your email and password, enter them in the fields provided.
This ensures that your app and your cloud account are perfectly synced.
Step 3: Explore MicroREC Connect
Welcome to your cloud-based command center! You can now see all the content you've captured on the app, right on your computer.
Part 3: Activating Your Subscription (If Purchased Through Sales)
If you purchased your subscription directly from our sales team, there's one simple step to activate it in your account.
Step 1: Complete Your Profile in the App
Open the MicroREC app on your phone.
Go to Settings.
Tap on the profile icon in the top right corner.
Please fill in all your information, especially your full name and last name. This is crucial for us to identify your account.
Step 2: Contact Support Through the App
In the Settings menu, find and tap on the Chat.
In the chat, send us a message and attach a screenshot of your completed profile page.
Our support team will then be able to locate your account and assign the subscription you purchased. We will notify you as soon as it's done.
Part 4: Supercharge Your Storage with Smart Cloud Settings
One of the most powerful features of MicroREC Connect is the ability to automatically upload your media to the cloud, freeing up space on your phone. By default, the app automatically uploads your media over a Wi-Fi connection to save your mobile data.
Step 1: Access Cloud Storage Settings
In the MicroREC app, go to Settings.
Tap on Cloud Storage Settings.
Step 2: Configure Smart Storage
Select Smart Storage.
This setting allows you to control how often the automatic upload occurs. You can set it to upload your files every day, every week, or even every month, depending on your specific workflow and needs.
Once configured, the app will handle the backups automatically. This ensures your phone's storage is regularly cleared and your valuable media is securely saved in MicroREC Connect without you having to think about it.
⚠️ A Very Important Note: Please do not delete anything from the MicroREC app unless you are absolutely sure you want it to be permanently erased. Deleting a file from the app will also delete it from MicroREC Connect.
You are ready now to start building your own library and access it from your computer!
