Inside the MicroREC App, tags are your secret weapon for building a smart, searchable library of your clinical work. Tagging sessions by patient name, condition, or treatment type takes just seconds — and saves you hours later.

Why Smart Doctors Tag Everything

Every session you tag becomes easy to find, easy to compare, and easy to learn from.

Tagging helps you:

  • Find past surgeries or follow-ups instantly

  • Track progress across treatment stages

  • Share specific case types with colleagues in seconds

  • Stay organized even with hundreds of videos

Doctor (Ophthalmologist, Colombia):
“I tag everything with diagnosis and date. I don’t even remember file names anymore — I just search ‘glaucoma and filter 2022’ and it’s there.”

When to Tag (It’s Easier Than You Think)

You can add or edit tags in two places inside the MicroREC App:

  1. When starting a session
Tap the center “+” button on the gallery screen to create a new session. Under the “Tags” section, add keywords like the procedure, or diagnosis.

  2. After recording
Tap the pencil icon on any existing session to open the edit screen. Scroll to the “Tags” field and add or update your labels.

Pro tip: Use clear, repeatable tags like:

  • Diagnosis: “keratoconus”, “uveitis”

  • Procedure: “phaco”, “OCT follow-up”

The more consistent your terms, the more powerful your searches.

Why Tagging Builds a Smarter Library — for You

Every tag you add becomes part of your personal clinical library — not just a label, but a way to turn your recordings into a useful, organized reference system.

With consistent tagging, you’ll unlock:

  • Faster searches — no more scrolling or guessing

  • Easier case comparisons and follow-up tracking

  • A structured view of your work over time, by procedure, diagnosis, or patient

Think of it as building your own searchable, living archive — one that works for you, not against you, especially as your case volume grows.
