In the fast-paced environment of clinics, time and efficiency are paramount. At Custom Surgical, we continuously strive to develop features that make your day-to-day operations seamless and more productive.

That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our latest enhancement for MicroREC Connect Business users: the CSV Upload feature. This feature was inspired by feedback from one of our Business Tier pilot clinics, which highlighted a need to eliminate repetitive tasks and simplify session management.

The result? A tool that lets you upload and manage sessions in bulk with just a few clicks, saving time and aligning perfectly with your existing workflows.

How Does the CSV Upload Feature Work?

Getting started with the CSV Upload feature is simple and user-friendly. Here’s how it works:

  1. Prepare Your Worklist:

    • Export or compile the necessary session data from your EHR system or any other database into a CSV file. The file should include key information required for creating sessions or new patient profiles. For session creation, you can include details such as date, time, doctor, patient ID, description, and tags, though not all fields are mandatory. For creating a new patient, the required fields are birth date, patient ID, first name, last name, and gender, again with flexibility as not all fields are mandatory.

  2. Upload the CSV File:

    • Log in to your MicroREC Connect Business account.

    • Navigate to the new “Bulk Session Upload” section.

    • Upload your prepared CSV file directly into the platform.

  3. Map Your Data:

    • Match the fields in your CSV file (e.g., patient name, date, session type) to the corresponding fields in MicroREC Connect. This ensures all information is accurately imported.

  4. Review and Confirm:

    • Verify the session details in a preview mode before finalizing the upload.

    • Once confirmed, the sessions will be created in bulk, ready for selection within the MicroREC app.

  5. Use the MicroREC App:

    • Staff can easily choose the appropriate session from the pre-loaded list on the app, reducing errors and maintaining consistency with your EHR.

Why This Feature Matters: Key Benefits for Your Clinic

The CSV Upload feature is designed to address specific workflow challenges and provide tangible benefits to your clinic:

  • Save Time and Reduce Manual Work: Say goodbye to the repetitive task of creating sessions one by one. Uploading sessions in bulk means your staff can focus on providing quality care instead of administrative tasks.

  • Streamlined Workflows: By aligning session data with your clinic’s EHR, the feature ensures consistency and minimizes data discrepancies.

  • Enhanced Accuracy: Automated data mapping and bulk uploads reduce the risk of manual entry errors, keeping your records precise and reliable.

  • Scalable Solution: Whether you’re managing a handful of sessions or hundreds, this feature adapts to your clinic’s needs, ensuring efficiency at every scale.

Why We Built This Feature

At MicroREC Connect, we believe that the best features are the ones built with our users in mind. When one of our pilot clinics expressed the need for a faster, more automated way to handle sessions, we saw an opportunity to create a solution that could benefit clinics everywhere. By allowing you to upload sessions in bulk, we’re not just improving your workflow—we’re helping your clinic operate at its full potential.
